As we roll through September on our way to October,
it's time to harvest this years pumpkin patch. Even though we went through a record draught
this year, the patch was pretty darn successful. I lost probably another 10-15 pumpkins due to vine borers
but I have learned to expect that now.
It's interesting to me how all the seeds came from the same pumpkin last year but we have such a variety
of colors and textures. Fun with genetics.
Now they will just finish curing in the sun and wait for the carvings!
Nice harvest!
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice crop of pumpkins. It is cool how they will cross pollinate with other squash leading to surprises!
