Pumpkin patch 2021!

It seems like things in this neck of the woods are finally returning to somewhat normal.

A lot better than last year, thats for sure. I'm a bit tardy but here is my patch update for 2021.

The boxed bed that I usually plant in is not doing so well. Not sure why the leaves are yellowing

and the growth is minimal. No sign of vine borers yet, so I'm thinking the soil is to blame.

The random seeds that I plant in the ground are growing like crazy. I already have 4 pumpkins

and the leaves on these vines are over 2 feet in length- quite a contrast to the ones in the box.

I'm thinking that next year I will plant other things in the box and just build a burm
where they are doing so well. They have spread out close to 25 feet and its only 3 vines.

I also decided to try out some "Jack be little's" this year for the first time.
I just put them in pots and let them climb the fence.
They are doing quite well and I believe this will be an every year plant for me.
