Stocking up for Autumn

Started collecting here and there. Building a little stock pile of brews for October. Some I have had and some not yet, but my champion is still Buffalo Bills pumpkin ale. We will see if any of the others can unseat him this year! Angry orchard Cider did not make the group photo, but none the less is quite a good crisp cider and I would recommend it. The Hunt continues...........

Also had to harvest some of the pumpkins the vine borer let go. Can't complain about the outcome and still have 4 more on the vine to pick next month.

  1. Down to my last bottle of Angry Orchard Apple Ginger Cider. It is good. It's kind of like an Apple cider wine cooler. I tried the Shocktop Pumpkin Ale last year...not sure I want to waste money on any others. it was NOT good!

  2. Great crop good Sir... all 40 of my crop were destroyed by "borer worms" ...and the One small Pumpkin that I did get...a mouse destroyed... your friend ...Stacey / the Doctor...

  3. I agree Mark- not impressed with the Shocktop myself. I try to stay away from "regular" beers
that just toss out a seasonal brew to get on the bandwagon. And your right-they are usually not cheap.
I am saddened to hear of your crop Doctor. It is a rough game out there with the vermin of the world. I feel lucky to have escaped with what I have. But you can't beat the optimism you feel planting in the spring after a long hard winter.
