I'm sure for all of us it has been a bit different this year, but the one thing that has not changed is the
40-50 mph winds that hit right after you complete the outside set up!
Yep, right on schedule. Spent a beautiful day over a week ago setting up what we would call a modest outdoor display only to find most of it knocked down, broken and tattered after 3 straight days of relentless winds. But somehow it did not bother me as much as years past. Props can be fixed, mended and replaced. A pandemic helps put things into perspective and makes you slow down and appreciate things a bit more. So things have been repaired and sit waiting for the next wind storm that will undoubtedly come soon, but when we get knocked down, we get up again.
Looking Good October Boy! I bet those corn stalks take a beating in the wind. I love those spooky scarecrows and your table of pumpkins. Your right about it being a different kind of year!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lady M. Yes the wind actually broke the string ties on the corn stalks, but they look good kind of messy too.
Deletevery different... very good job there October Boy !!

DeleteLooks great, both outside and inside. Getting a vintage Beistle Halloween decoration vibe from the whole thing, love it!
ReplyDeletethank you. I think I have been subconsciously going for that vibe for a while.
