A video tour of the 2011 yard haunt. For some reason, it is not uploading with good resolution, but it's better than nothing. The pictures always look cooler with some creepy music behind them.
OMG--that was fantastic!!! beautifully done and the props are wonderful! everything went together perfectly (music included). the tree with the witch jars was truly stunning as well. fabulous haunt!
How cool to see those hanging lanterns in action! I remember when you were working on that project. I was wondering how you were able to film that tree full of lanterns from above. The music was awesome ~ Very well done! Was that song yours?
Thanks everyone. I take that as a good sign coming from the talented and creative likes of you all.
Wicked, I am almost embaressed to say, but the video was shot on a cheap olympus digital camera.( $50.00 point and shoot on movie mode) the video camera that I have is older and records to a disk and we have not been able to transfer the data. So I thought, what the heck, I will try this little cheap thing. Bad video is better than no video.
Justine, That little video piece near the end really helped show of the lantern tree. Still pictures just did not get the depth or glow of it. The tree was not that big, probably only 10 feet, so we hung the jars lower and I was able to walk through it. That turned out cooler since the guests loved walking through it too. And sadly no, that is not my music. I found some freebies online, did some mixing in garageband, and thats it. I really wanted more of a "Pumpkinrot" feel this year and I think that helped.
You've really outdone yourself this year! I really dug the "lo-fi" feel of the video...gave it that low budget horror movie feel! That may not have been your original intention...but it works!!!!
Thanks for the visit Doctor. Things are still slow on the business front and I am in scramble mode while trying to jump start things, so almost all of my time and energy has been dedicated to that. Best regards to you and yours as well this holiday season and wishes for a great 2012.
